Worship and Picnic at the Beach
Join us for Worship at the Beach!
DATE: Sunday, August 7th
WHERE: Marquette Park (in Miller) Area 5 (located by the lagoon)
TIME: Worship is at 10:30am, Picnic to follow
WHAT CAN I BRING? The picnic is potluck, so please tell us what you’ll bring by signing up at church or using this link.
We still need (as of Saturday, check the link for updated info!):
- Watermelon, cut up and ready to serve (3 more needed)
- Cornhole game (we need one more so we can have a
tournament!)
- Help cleaning up: take down tables, general clean-up
AND, if you have a pop-up canopy or tent in case of sun or (we hesitate even to say it) drizzle, please consider tossing it in the car!
WHAT ELSE?
- Bring a chair
- You will need to pay a parking fee
- Bring your family and come ready to have a great time!
IN CASE OF RAIN:
While the forecast currently (Saturday) looks promising if quite warm (plan accordingly!), if it is raining Sunday
morning:
- Worship will move to Bethel Lutheran Church at 411 Montgomery St, Gary, IN 46403
- We will grill in the parking lot, eat in the Fellowship Hall there, and gave games in various side rooms.
- We will update via this email newsletter and via our app IF we move, otherwise we'll see you at the park!

School Supplies for a family in need
Our partners at Bethel Lutheran have invited our partnership in supporting school supply shopping for a family with especial need this year. With time being short, we've gone ahead and gotten
those supplies to them, and would welcome any donations to help share the cost! Identify any gifts with a note on an envelope or memo line: Bethel school needs.
