Dear siblings in Christ,
Last night at our Council meeting our Director of Youth Ministries, Clint Mullet, informed the Council that he will be leaving Christ Lutheran as he finishes an MBA and seeks employment in industry. Clint anticipates moving to part-time in March and his final time with us will be in May with exact dates to be
determined.
Clint has been with Christ Lutheran since 2017 and our youth ministry, staff team, and congregation have benefited from his passion, wisdom, insight, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to shepherd life-giving relationships. Under his leadership we have grown to 10-15 students attending Circle (high school) and 10-20 in Fusion (junior high) weekly. He has led us to the
National Youth Gathering, Quake, Confirmation Camps, mission trips, corn mazes, a brat booth, trivia night, and more. During the Covid lockdown his experience with radio and online broadcasting was immeasurably helpful as we scrambled to create an online experience. Even as he has been working on his MBA nights and evenings he has continued his high standards of excellence and energy and leaves a long legacy of powerful, positive impact on our students, families, staff, and
members.
At the Council meeting we approved a Job Description for our next Director of Youth Ministries, and appointed a team to interview for the position. I will orient them in the next weeks to their work and we will continue to provide updates.
I know you will join me in thanking Clint for his energy, diligence, talents and wisdom.
Together we wish him all the best for his future with gratitude. Pray with me for our students, families and ministry as we enter a transition time: prayers of gratitude, wonder, hopefulness, concern, and discernment. God has great things in store for Christ Lutheran’s youth ministries, and Clint has done marvelous work building us for what God has in store next.
In God’s amazing grace,
-Pastor Tim
