This message is to keep you updated on a coming staffing change at Christ Lutheran: our Director of Youth Ministries, Kaitlyn Jedrzejowski, will be
stepping down from her role with the congregation at the end of this summer.
Kaitlyn has been with Christ Lutheran for 3 years as both an intern and Director of Youth Ministries. Under her leadership our youth programming includes thriving middle school (Fusion) and high school (Circle) groups and Confirmation classes, and she has expanded her ministries to create an active Young Adult group as well. She sought out and spearheaded our ongoing participation in the ELCA Youth Co-Op program, and has led multiple mission, Confirmation
Camp, and Youth Gathering trips. Kaitlyn has also served with our Indiana-Kentucky Youth Ministries and Social Justice teams, and has been selected as a regional coordinator for ELCA Young Adult Ministries. Above all she has shared her gifts for caring, significant relationships with our students, families, members and our staff.
As you know Kaitlyn is currently in seminary to become a pastor, and this transition allows her to study full-time as well as to relocate to Illinois with her fiance' Matt. Over the summer months we will be working together with the
Youth Board to finish well with this year's programming, as well as transition details for our next Director of Youth Ministries.
Our Council will be working on job description design and appointing a search team over the next weeks and month. In the meantime, I know you will join me in giving thanks to God for Kaitlyn's service and the abundant gifts she has so generously shared with Christ Lutheran. Our youth, young adults, and staff team will definitely miss her! I invite your prayers for her, our ministries, our youth and young adults, and our transition
process.
Thank you Kaitlyn, we thank God for you!
