- Follow the instructions to sign in, using your email or mobile phone.
- Once you log in, the screen will show your current transaction setup. At the top right corner of the screen, you will see a box with the title “Recurring Gifts.” If you have a current recurring transaction, it will be displayed in this box. Click the word “Edit,” and you will see the details of this recurring schedule. Click
the green button that says “Edit Recurring” to make any changes to this gift. Be sure to save your changes.
Please note that in order to change your recurring gift, you must “Edit” your current gift. If you add an additional recurring gift, it does not cancel or overwrite the original transaction.

Covid Update
We have watched with great hope as the Covid infection and case rates
have continued moving, quickly, in such promising directions. We are grateful to see such good news and, as has been our pattern, are ready to make some adjustments in our worship and other planning:
- Masks are encouraged but optional during worship. Naturally if you prefer to stay masked throughout the service, you are of course welcome to do so. Everyone will still need a mask for singing (see below!).
- For Sunday School, our expectation for students and teachers to wear masks will remain the same for the time
being.
With the wonderful news of the restrictions at CLC, we’re very excited to bring back not only long- awaited hymns
to sing after such a long absence, but also music from our liturgy. The Music Ministry is inviting anyone who would like to sing for the Lenten and Easter Sunday celebrations to join our sanctuary choir and be a part of the wonderful musical leadership for our Sunday morning worship.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm in the sanctuary. Whether you’re a soprano, alto, tenor, or bass, we’d LOVE to have you join us! Please speak to our Director of Music Brian Bartusch if you are interested.
As the Psalmist wrote: “Make a joyful noise to the Lord!”

Lent 2022
Good Enough - following Jesus in a world of
imperfection
The world tells us we can “live our best life now,” always find the answers in the self-help section, and achieve
perfection if we just “follow these ten easy steps!” Lent reminds us: all too often our lives don’t turn out like we thought they should. Lent reminds us: following Jesus is not about turning us into the perfect version of ourselves. And lent invites us to meet the God who is trustworthy, present in all of the imperfections of our lives and world.
The last two years have forced us to live through a time in which it’s clear that we can’t have it all. So this
year, join us for a “Good Enough” Lent, noticing the way that God’s goodness finds us in whatever messy reality we’re living through.
On Wednesday evenings, we’ll gather for Holden Evening Prayer and follow this theme, as Kate Bowler unpacks it in her
devotional book “Good Enough” (with 40 devotions, it’s a great fit for Lent and is available here: https://www.amazon.com/Good-Enough-40ish-Devotionals-Imperfection/dp/0593193687/). A free reflection guide is available here and would be great to use on its own as well as in conjunction with the book: https://katebowler.com/lent/

Easter Egg Hunt - call for candy!
While we are happy to see that things are improving around COVID, it did give us some fun new experiences. One of those was having an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday. The kids had fun and the adults
all loved seeing the fun and excitement the kids had. We are going to plan to do it again since it was such a great time. If you would like to help keep the fun alive, we would love to have you help. We are in need of candy donations to fill the eggs with. Please drop off to the office or get it to Amy Knauff of Ben Crill. Thanks in advance for bring smiles to the faces of young and old!
CLC Social Ministry and Mission
March 2022
As you do it for the least of these, you do it for Christ. (Matthew
25:40)
Each month the Social Ministry highlights a special giving opportunity pertaining to hunger,
homelessness/housing, or mission. March’s specific emphasis provides monetary/volunteer support for the Valpo New Creation Men’s Shelter/Resale Shop https://newcreationempowers.org + https://www.facebook.com/newcreationresaleshop
New Creation (2102 N. Calumet Ave.) was created several years ago as a center for homeless men in Valpo and Porter County. The Men's Center currently offers supportive services for homeless men during daytime hours. The Resale Shop is always in need of donated furniture and appliances, household and office supplies,
laundry essentials and toiletries, and cleaning supplies and paper goods.
New Creation Men’s Center educates the community on the problem of homelessness in Porter County and on the challenges faced by clients, with the goal to create self-sufficiency. Prior to the Pandemic, numerous CLC members assisted the Men’s Shelter in several ways e.g. hosting men overnight Saturday, preparing/serving
meals (dinner and breakfast), and taking time to sit and talk with the men who are taking advantage of Shelter services. New Creation is planning to resume the overnight program with the help of various churches including CLC on April 16, 2022. Please see various announcements in March about how CLC members can volunteer with time and bring meals on Saturday evenings beginning in April and continuing over the summer months.

LWR Request
As we are all aware of increasing prices and empty shelves of merchandise, the LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF PROJECTS have also been impacted by these events. It is costing more for items we can not make: flannel for diapers, soap, diaper pins, socks, clothing, and towels. We watch for sales
on items needed so our money can be stretched further. Donations are crucial so we can help others in need.
DONATIONS CAN BE PUT IN THE WHITE BASKET under the shelf in the Gathering Area. Please indicate if items are laundered. Sandy Keammerer Project Leader
