It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Scharf of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Richard Scharf; his wife Nancy Lustgarten; and his daughter Kristin. He is survived by : his children, Michael Scharf and Jennifer Hatseras (Chris); his grandchildren, Craig Scharf (Chelsea), Zachary and Emily Hatseras; his great grandchild Marley; and his sister Marlene Bannec. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3rd 2022 at   

10:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church.
